Join a Grow Group
Grow Groups are intentional communities in FBCScottsdale of people who want to grow their faith. In Grow Groups, we nurture our vertical relationship with God. We engage in that vertical relationship while we also build up our horizontal relationships with one another. Grow Groups allow us to safely test our faith, ask our questions and share our stories. We share life together; we explore the bible together; we grow as disciples together.

Sunday Grow Groups 9:45 - 10:45a
Here are choices, 9:45 - 10:45a, for the Winter semester (February 3 - April 28):
Ephesians, led by the Women’s Group, in the Gallery.
Ephesians is the gospel of the church. It sets forth God's eternal purpose to create through Jesus Christ a new society which stands out in bright relief against the somber background of the old world. At the same time, the realities of the lovelessness and sin in so many churches are enough to make one weep, for they dishonor Christ. Increasing numbers of church members are seeking the church's radical renewal. Nothing is more important than the church becoming God's new society.
Not-so-Well-Known Treasures in Scripture, led by the Lighthouse Class in E2.
How do the biblical authors present God's loving character in unique and often overlooked ways? Discover or re-discover some hidden gems in scripture.
Psalms, led by Jaron Foster, in C2.
Every three weeks we will focus on a different genre of Psalms. The first three weeks we would focus on psalms of Praise (Hymns), then Lament, then Thanksgiving, and end with psalms of Trust.
FBCScottsdale: Past, Present and Future, led by Stan Crews & Jim Coston, in C1.
This class will go over the illustrious history of First Baptist Church in Scottsdale. We will then spend a few weeks on the current Vision Frame and membership. We will conclude with a discussion of what it means to be baptist.
The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey, led by Michelle Cornelius, in Fine Arts Conference Room.
Philip Yancey offers a new and different perspective on the life of Christ and his work--his teachings, his miracles, his death and resurrection--and ultimately, who he was and why he came. From the manger in Bethlehem to the cross in Jerusalem, Yancey presents a complex character who generates questions as well as answers; a disturbing and exhilarating Jesus who wants to radically transform your life and stretch your faith.
The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey (already in progress), led by the Desert Disciples, in the Chapel.
Depression and the Gospel, led by Keisha Register, in the Staff Lounge.
This Grow Group will dig into scripture while offering support for those battling depression, anxiety and sadness.
