Part 4

The Power of Doing Good

Remind the people to be ready to do whatever is good.

Titus 3:1(NIV)

This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.

Those who have trusted God must be careful to engage in good deeds.”

Question: Why should we live beyond ourselves?

Answer: Because as Christ-followers it is our destiny.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Question: Where should you be doing all of these good deeds?

Answer: Right where you are.

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

Question: How do you do the good works that God wants you to do?

Answer: However the Spirit leads.

Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.
