At FBCScottsdale, we desire to serve Jesus Christ in our local community and the world through providing for people’s physical and spiritual needs.
The Chaneni House is our on-campus free house! We provide basic needs for those in need in our community. It is open Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays from 10:00a - Noon.
Many in our congregation give funds, others give food to Servant Hearts. Why? Because we want to meet the needs of any member or regular attender. If you have a crisis, a serious financial need or health issues, contact the church office and ask to be connected with the Servant Hearts team. We have a food pantry, and financial counseling and assistance. We are here to help.
FBCScottsdale has a community garden that provides wholesome, nutritious vegetables for the surrounding community. It is volunteer led and if you are interested in gardening, we would welcome you to join us in helping feed those around us.
FBCScottsdale supports the work of Christ in various parts of the world. We have the privilege of supporting the work of Mark Zeeman's mission to Budapest, Hungary as he serves the local church there in leading a gospel choir and occasional preaching. We also support the work of Sharon LaRue in London, England and her ongoing service with the organization Saltmine, which seeks to share the gospel through theater performances at schools and churches. David and Joyce Reed serve the local church in La Paz, Mexico through theological training for Mexican nationals, as well as pastoring a church in La Paz. Through these efforts we get to see the work of Christ make a difference not only in Scottsdale, but in these locations as well.
FBCScottsdale also provides people opportunities to go to different locations to do short-term mission work. Over the years we have sent people to Romania to work at an orphanage; have students and adults involved in ministries at local homeless shelters, rescue missions in the Southwest, medical mission trips to Africa and Haiti, and teams to help build homes in Mexico and Haiti. We love to see the lives that are impacted through the experiences people of all ages have during their short-term mission experiences.
We also support different mission works through the American Baptist Missions' offering for World Mission Offering, America for Christ offering, One Great Hour of Sharing, and the Retired Ministers and Missionaries offering. These offerings are taken quarterly to assist those serving in different capacities.
